Mushroom Medley Stuffed Tom's on a Raw Zucchini Pasta bed with Baby Spinach n' Goats Cheese Salad

Home to my parents for the week and I'm always so inspired to cook for my family. Especially as we are all growing up and going our separate ways, it is nice to share a meal. I come from a family of passionate people, particularly around food. There are four "chefs", all naturally with their own opinions. As the resident vegetarian i get a kick out of feeding my fam something they wouldn't normally eat.

I did this Zucchini Pasta for the first time recently with a friend and as raw food is a fad i'm continuously more intrigued about i wanted to give it a go for the penultimate critics.

There is a bit of a running joke between my dad and I about Nigella. Here's a cheeky little impersonation. It took herculanian strength to discreetly forgo the impulse to say... "Now rub the tomato residue upon your most ample bosom."

Enjoy.

Bonjour

After starting a food blog with my vegan friend I decided i needed MORE space to blog about food.

Here's a little about me...

I'm Sydney born and bread (pun intended) and most fortunate to have spent the last years trotting around the globe tasting, seeking and sensing everything in my path. I am a most passionate enthusiast about anything connected to the senses. I dance like a woman possessed at gigs, laugh like a hyena and love love love cooking for people i... well... love!

I'm also pretty keen on a healthy life style but everything in moderation. A friday afternoon cider and big bowl of chips (fries to you Yanks) is pure bliss. In fact there's another blog in that... "Cider n' Chips" haha *strokes chin*

The body is a miraculous machine that when working well it is pure magic. But it is very easy to upset and when somethings out the rest has to balance to make up for it and everything go berserk!

A few of my philosophies on eating and on life n' all that:

1. Make No Rules - life is too short to say "i'm an (insert socially accepted form of diet/clothing style/profession/relationship status/philosophy/religion/star sign/ect)"
We are a crazy mix of everything and are continually separating and reforming, especially as 20-somethings. So really make no rules and do what feels good.

2. Eat What Your Body Tells You - Listen to your intuition, do and eat what makes you feel alive! It's certainly different for everyone.

3. Pass No Judgement - The less you judge, the more you love.

4. Try everything once - Life is short, give it a go, if you don't like it at least you know! I'm a vegetarian by choice but in the past i have tried many animal things including wild rabbit, deer, kangaroo, chicken intestine, crocodile and elk.

So often we have already decided what an experience is going to be like before we have even jumped into it. I try to remind myself to just be present in the moment, keep an open heart and mind and i've found, in this state, so many wonders come your way.

5. Close To Origin - The closer what you're eating is to it's source of origin, the better it is going to be for you. I'd love to see the day when there is no packaged food in my cupboard! Whole foods + whole grains leads to a wholeness in life.

So lets get to the eating part. I will leave this lil introductory post with some pics from my recent travels to Nepal. For more of my photos click HERE
